Foster care, refers to the placement of a child in the domestic environment of a family other than the child's biological family. The primary aim of foster care is to provide children in difficult circumstances with a safe, nurturing, and secure family-based or family-like environment, enabling their rights to safety, health, education, and personal growth. Don Bosco, Bidar is actively involved in the foster care programme, operating under the guidance of BOSCO Bangalore, and has successfully placed four children with foster families so far. We ensure that every child placed in foster care receives proper care and protection, maintaining regular follow-ups to monitor their wellbeing and help them thrive in family and community settings.
