ADVOCACY (Networking with the Govt. Officials)

1. Collaboration with Health Authorities:

The Taluka Health Officer (THO) granted permission to provide Mobile Clinic Project services to 26 villages by issuing a formal permission letter. This support included guidance and the allocation of Primary Haelth Centre (PHC) doctors and staff to support our medical camps, health educations and for collaboration across all villages. This collaboration has been instrumental in guiding our activities and ensuring compliance with health regulations.

2. Collaboration with PHC Doctors:

Dr. Siddareddy, MBBS, PHC doctors from Wadgaon and Jamgi respectively, joined the project for medical camps, enhancing the quality of care provided. This collaboration facilitated the organization of four (4) medical camps for the villagers, ensuring access to professional medical services.

3. Involvement of Community Health Officers(CHOs) and ASHA workers:

CHOs from Jamgi and Wadgaon PHCs actively participated in the project, assisting with medical camps, health educations and health surveys and outreach efforts across all 26 villages.

4. Networking with Anganwadi centers:

The project established a network with Anganwadi centers to identify malnourished children in the villages. This collaboration enabled us to provided nutritional supplements like Folic acid, Calcium syrups and Protein powder to those in need. This involvement ensured that vulnerable children received the necessary support for their health and development.

5. Health Survey supports:

ASHA and Anganwadi workers assisted us in conducting health surveys across all 26 villages, helping to gather essential data for our project on community health needs and conditions.

6. Advocacy wih Educational Authorities:

The Block Education officer (BEO) issued a permission letter allowing us to conduct health education sessions in government schools. This support extended to headmasters and teachers, facilitating our health education initiatives. We conducted health education sessions, health screenings and first aid training to students and staff, receiving positive feedback and appreciation from Miss. Chadrakala, Headmaster GHPS Kaplapur for our efforts.

7. Community Engagement and Support:

Prior to conducting health camps and education sessions, consultations were held with Gram Panchayath presidents, vice-presidents, members and local leaders. This proactive approach ensured smooth operations and garnered from the community and also received positive feedback and appreciation from the gram panchayath presidents, vice –presidents, members and local leaders.

By collaborating with local health authorities, educational institutions and community leaders, the project has empowered community members to take charge of their health and well-being. Ongoing advocacy efforts will continue to play a vital role in improving healthcare access and quality in the villages, ensuring that the needs of the community are effectively addressed.
